Health Canada Compliance

All Messer Canada facilities that manufacture medical gases are licensed with Health Canada and hold a valid Drug Establishment License (DEL), which authorizes us to: 

  • Manufacture (fabricate and package/label) medical gases.
  • Perform quality control testing.
  • Store and distribute finished medical gas products.

We adhere to Health Canada’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations defined in the Food and Drug Act and associated regulations. This ensures: 

  • Traceability and documentation for all medical products.
  • Stringent control over production and testing processes.
  • Training and qualification of personnel.
  • Proper calibration and maintenance of equipment.
  • Compliance verification through routine internal and external audits

All medical gas products have been approved by Health Canada and hold a valid drug identification number (DIN), as defined on the product labelling.
